i. Project Background
What do robots, jetpacks, and a world with just five computers have in common? They’re all part of a retro-futurist dream that didn’t quite pan out—but they also star in this trio of films for HSN (High-school in South-East Norway), created to highlight the role of knowledge in shaping the future.

ii. Process & Result
Visually inspired by 1950s sci-fi optimism, each film starts with a cheeky nod to outdated predictions before seamlessly shifting into real-world breakthroughs—like ocean-cleaning robots or the fact that most of us carry a computer in our pocket. The contrast between then and now helps drive home the message: knowledge isn’t just power, it’s progress.

Who knows what the next big leap will be? We got the Air Mag’s but we’re still waiting for the hoverboard—either way, education will play a key role in getting us there.
