i. Project Background
In a industry of heavyweights and outdated systems, Oliasoft is rewriting the rules. Their cloud-based software for oil well planning, built on open APIs, puts user-friendliness, full automation, and cross-compatibility first — no clunky workarounds, locked-in customers or wasted time. A purpose-built toolkit that covers every stage of well design — faster, smarter, and made for engineers who are done wrestling with yesterday’s tech.

ii. Process
To help tell that story, I created a series of films that made the complex feel simple — without watering it down. Clear, approachable, and packed with the real magic behind the software. Abstract ideas like data flows, modules, and APIs were brought to life through a clean, tactile visual language — easy to grasp, seamless, and flowing, just like the software itself.

Every frame was designed to mirror the intuitive, frictionless experience Oliasoft delivers — and to throw a sharp contrast against the clunky legacy systems they’re replacing. Starting from the visual identity developed by Snøhetta Design, I expanded it into a dynamic, motion-based system — modern, bold, and full of the energy that defines Oliasoft’s technology.

The resulting set of films helped Oliasoft stand out in a crowded market, break through complexity and make their story clear, compelling, and easy to grasp — not just for engineers, but for decision-makers too.
