Information film for assisted healthcare

i. Project Background
Citizen-controlled Personal Assistance (BPA) is a legal right for disabled people who need assistance — and a powerful tool for equality.

All Norwegian municipalities are required to offer BPA, and there are countless reasons why it matters. I had the pleasure of helping Uloba bring these reasons to life in an information film designed to be clear, positive, and accessible and inspiring.

ii. Process & Result
The film was used to communicate Uloba’s mission both at a political level to help continue to secure government funding and spread the word to the general public about the important work they continue to do on behalf of all people in need of assistance.

An important part of the visual style of the film was to insure that it was fully accessable to everyone, regardless of their abilities or disabilities. Which is why it was designed to meet as many accessability standards as possible — everything from colour contrast combinations and easily destinguishable silhouettes to aid vision impared viewers, to the omission of music — to enhace the clarity of the audio experience for people with impared hearing. Subtitles and descriptive narration audio tracks were also included in the delivery.

Needless to say I’m proud to have been a part of communicating BPA's goal of enabling people to actively contribute to their community, take full control of their own lives and participate in all of societies arenas, on an equal footing with everyone else.
